Alcantarea imperialis rubra - Wholesale Nurseries

One of the larger growing bromeliads that reach well over 1m. Alcantarea imperialis rubra prefers a moist but well drained position in full sun, once established alcantarea imperialis rubra is relatively easy to care for. The red foliage is more prominent when grown in the sun. Used widely in containers to help create a lush tropical feeling, the tall red flower spikes (reaching over 2m when they appear) are an outstanding feature. Cold but not frost tolerant.
